Hello There

Julie first discovered her love of design by re-imagining neighbor’s homes while babysitting. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she joined a law firm for several years before pursuing her passion of design. She continued her education at Harrington College of Design and proceeded to work and gain experience with several prominent Chicago interior design firms. After over a decade of experience in the luxury interior design industry, Julie launched her own boutique design firm, JAM Interior Design. 

Julie’s background in both legal and creative fields provide a perfect right- and left- brain balance. She is a problem-solver extraordinaire and spreadsheet aficionado. But also a natural at melding textures, patterns and colors into beautiful spaces. Old homes with character are the way to her heart. But she equally enjoys giving new-builds a witty personality. Regardless of the canvas, the finished product is approachable, beautiful, and creatively layered. 

Julie lives in the Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago with her husband, two sons and crazy dog.
